In analyzing the trends for Spring/Summer 2024, I found that many designers prominently featured ruffles, flowy designs, and a blend of masculine and feminine elements in their collections. Drawing inspiration from the iconic designs of Schiaparelli, McQueen, and Elie Saab's Spring/Summer collections, I sought to localize trends for South Africa, particularly emphasizing the fusion of ruffles, fullness, strength, and delicacy evident in their creations. Analyzing South African runway shows, I observed a notable prevalence of ruffles this season, aligning perfectly with the global trends I identified from these renowned designers.
